March Update!

I am so incredibly grateful that I get to do what I do. This year has been the biggest blessing I could have received from my gracious and loving Father. I am surrounded by the most supportive staff who are not only helping me grow as a minister but they are such sweet friends to me. The students I get to work with are so fun and crazy and make me laugh a lot and I have been learning so much from all of them. God is so so good to me for placing this ministry into my life and allowing me to be apart of it again this year.

Students engaging with their peers on popular conceptions about love.

We had a really neat outreach this month! We had signs posted up in the flower beds in the center of campus that had quotes from various people, movies, and novels that show our cultures popular conceptions about love. We also had signs that with quotes from scripture on how love is defined by God. All of the quotes on the poster were posted without the person who said each one and we just asked students to chose a couple of quotes that they agree with. The goal was to get students to see how God's love for his creation is infinitely greater and deeper than that of the world and that in reality, God defines love for himself. God is love. We had a lot of students excited to participate and a lot of awesome discussions came out of it! Praise God that we get to do things like this on a public university campus and have the opportunity to show students His love for them.

Worship before Pizza Theo with a really beautiful song written by some of our students.
We had such a great turnout for Pizza Theology!
I could talk about Pizza Theology forever because it was seriously amazing. The topic was on the Second Coming of Christ which is something I had not really thought or knew a whole lot about. My biggest takeaways were that we know Jesus is coming back, we don't know when yet, but when we does it's going to be better than we imagined. I have been meditating on this scripture from Revelation recently and it has been so meaningful to me.

"Then I saw “a new heaven and a new earth,” for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea. I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.” -Revelation 21:1-4

How amazing is this news!!! This scripture gives me so much hope. I cannot wait until the day where God will wipe every tear from our eyes and for when there will be no more mourning or death or crying or pain. Thinking about the Second Coming of Jesus has given me so much to look forward to and so excited to meet Jesus.

Love you guys a lot! Thank you for your continued support, I appreciate it more than you can imagine. I pray this month brings you many blessings.

In Christ,
Caitlin
