Ministry heating up as the weather cools down

This month has been a whirlwind in the best kind of way.

One of the things I am most excited to tell you about is my Core that I get to lead this year with my good friend Taylor. Cores are our same gender smaller communities that most people know as a small group. Students leaders within FOCUS are asked each year to facilitate one of these groups and so far it has been amazing to see how many amazing leaders UTA FOCUS has! Taylor and I have a great group of girls this year who have been really faithful to showing up and are really eager to grow in their relationship with Jesus. God is continually teaching me through these girls that he is so good at watering the seeds that have been planted allowing us the joy of seeing the harvest.

Someone who has been really encouraging to me is my friend Lauren. I met Lauren at the very beginning of the semester at our Board Game Night we had during Mav Stampede. God really laid Lauren on my heart and I just see how he is pursuing her and it's so neat to see. Lauren and I are currently studying FOJ (Focus on Jesus) together and at our first one on one she came already having read the Gospel John and came with reflections and questions which was not apart of the lesson she was just wanted to read more scripture. I'm blown away by her hunger to deepen her relationship with Jesus and seeing her grow as a disciple has been such a joy and her friendship has been a big blessing to me.

Something that I have been thinking a lot about lately is just how big, almighty, and powerful God is and how special it is that he pursues each one of us. I'm dumbfounded when I think about the complexity of God and how he works and I sometimes become overwhelmed. As I ponder all my questions and continue seeking answers the one thing that God constantly is reminding me of is that he has got it and that he is so good.

This experience so far is something I would not trade for the world and God is so good to me for allowing me to see how he is working and changing the hearts of so many college students.

I am trying to get better at taking pictures to share with you all but I still have not mastered that skill yet. But here are some pictures I have taken recently of some fun people and some fun times.

Some sweet friends
This weekend is UTA's Fall Camp which I am so excited about! Please be praying that students would come and be impacted by God this weekend and that they would build some really neat friendships with one another.

I can't say thank you enough to all of you who are supporting me through this awesome journey. I am so thankful to have such wonderful people in my life.

With love,
Caitlin
