January Update!

Happy 2018 everyone!!!! I'm so excited for all the new and exciting things that are happening this year!

December was a really awesome month! We had our Christmas party for the UTA campus and it was so encouraging to see all the students who came into this ministry during Welcome Week there at the Christmas party at the end of the semester. All of the Core groups prepared a Core performance for the party that had to incorporate Christmas, Disney (the theme was Disney Christmas), school spirit, and a lot of other really funny and pretty ridiculous things. My Core wanted to reenact the Nativity scene but use characters from the Lion King which was hilarious and so fun to plan! Overall, Christmas party was a really sweet time to reflect on how faithful God has been this semester and all that he is doing in the lives of the students at UTA!

My sweet friend Lauren I have talked about before made the decision to get baptized this past month! Meeting with her every week and seeing how Jesus is really transforming her life has been so encouraging to see! I'm so excited to see how the Lord continues to work in her and through her life!

Thank you SO MUCH to everyone who donated to our annual Keep FOCUS Growing fundraiser! I am in awe of your generosity and so thankful for how much you all continue to support the work that God is doing through this ministry on the different college campuses in DFW. I pray that this money would be used to grow the kingdom and glorify our amazing God who is relentlessly pursing the hearts of his people.

This upcoming weekend is our annual Winter Camp! Winter Camp was so impactful to me the first time that I went. One of my favorite parts about the weekend is getting to worship alongside 600 other college students who also love and are pursuing Jesus. I remember looking around during worship and feeling so overwhelmed with a sense of joy because I felt like I was experiencing a glimpse of what the Kingdom of Heaven is going to be like! I look forward to all that the Lord will do in my heart and in the hearts of the students attending this weekend!

Winter Camp last year!
I ask that you would be praying that students would come to Winter Camp with open hearts, that they would be greatly impacted by this weekend, grow closer to one another as a community, and experience God in amazing ways!

Thank you again for all the love and support you all have shown me in pursing campus ministry! None of what I am doing would be possible without you! I hope that this new year brings many blessings to you all!

In Christ,
Caitlin
